My Story

My photography journey began in 2011, during a season of deep loss when I lost my mom. She had always been the one to take our family photos each year for Christmas cards. After she passed, I realized just how meaningful those simple images were.

That year, I picked up a camera and began documenting my own family—setting up a white sheet in my dining room, opening the windows for natural light, and using a timer just to make sure we still had memories together.

What began as something personal quickly grew into something more.

My mom loved landscape photography and spent years creating work she hoped to share with the world. As I learned photography myself, I often feel connected to her in the quiet beauty of natural light, open fields, and everyday moments.

In 2012, friends began asking me to photograph their families. I charged $30 per session as I learned and grew, never imagining it would become my life’s work.

Today, I’m a mom of three adult children, a dog mom of two Goldendoodles, and I work in the counseling department at our local middle school, where I support and work closely with teenagers every day. That experience has made me deeply comfortable with kids and teens, and it shapes the way I approach every session—with patience, ease, and connection.

I specialize in photographing seniors, families, and couples, creating relaxed experiences that allow real moments to unfold naturally.

My work is rooted in genuine connection, natural light, and honest storytelling—images that feel like your life, not a performance of it.
